About Me

Wow, writing an 'About Me' section is harder than I thought... let's see, I grew up in Northern California, Humboldt County (which is way way northern). I moved to Oregon to go to Oregon State University, loved it so much that I decided to stay here. Then I got a great job and bought a dog. I could handle the job, but the dog needed professional help. I put him in training and ended up marrying the dog trainer (I told him it was the only way I could afford to keep him working!). We had a huge, wonderful wedding at Reser Stadium, which happens to be at Oregon State and also happensto be my first project as an engineer. It was big, fun, wonderful and totally memorable!

Just over a year later, we welcomed our first child. We named her Natalee but everyone calls her "Bug" and we think she is pretty special.

On March 3, 2011 we welcomed our second daughter, little Miss Olive. She is so sweet, but tests our patience on a fairly regular basis. She was born with a very rare eye defect called a Coloboma. She can't see very well, but I wouldn't change her for anything in the world. I am so excited about all the things she is going to teach me about adapting, loving, learning and life.
Life has thrown us some ups and downs, but we're in it as a family and I wouldn't have it any other way.
