On Saturday night, Natalee spent the night with Grandma and Grandpa so Sean and I had Sunday to ourselves. I drew an Antelope tag and since Sean and I are really into Archery but not rifles, I am learning to shoot a rifle. We wanted to go to a range where I could practice shooting out to 300 yards so we drove to Florence, on the Oregon Coast. It's about a 2 hour drive, but it was fun to just get in the car and go, like in the days before baby.
I have some kinda strange preferences, one of them being the rain. I hate hot weather, hate it. So I was SUPER stoked when it started raining on the way there, and I mean really raining. We had wind and thunder and lightening, oh my! It stopped while we were at the range and got in our practice, then we drove up the coast and I happily watched the winshield wipers all the way home.
It was so nice to spend the day with my husband, getting a chance to reconnect and enjoy each other doing something that we love to do. Of course, we still do lots of things together and love each other more everyday, but we don't get these opportunities too often.
Thanks Honey for a great day away, and thanks to my Dad & Kathy for the childcare:-)
