5 Question Friday

Wow, I can't believe it's Friday already! Work has been so busy, and so much fun, all of the days are flying by and I'm totally loving it... But, I'm still stoked about the weekend. So, let's get it started:

1. What is your favorite thing about summertime?
Um, nothing? No, that's not true, but I am not a fan of summertime, and not just because I'm insanely jealous of my sister getting to be off work. I don't like to be hot... it doesn't even get that hot here. But, I do LOVE taking the boat out, fishing or swimming or tubing, whatever... I love it. I also love all the great fruit. Yummy:-)

2. What is your ideal retirement location (if money didn't matter)?
Alaska. It's my ideal location for everything... I wish I lived there right this second. If I wasn't responsible, I'd pick up my whole family and be on the road tomorrow. Being responsible is lame.

3. Do you live in the same town you grew up in?
Nope... I grew up in good ol' Humboldt County. Have you heard of it?? What have you heard? That could be a whole other post all by itself.

4. What nervous habit did you have as a child that you kicked to the curb before becoming an adult?
I honestly have no idea... I can't recall any nervous habits that I used to have, or really even have now. Hmm, I'll have to check in with my mom, she always remembers things like that.

5. What is the most embarrassing thing that happened to you while on the job?
Um, I fell in a water filled trench last week. That probably would have been more embarrasing if the contractor hadn't been so cool about it. They kinda made it a non issue. I wish I had a better story for this, but I am looking forward to reading what everyone else has to say about this question.

Alright, go visit Mama M for more 5QF awesomeness... since there wasn't much here this week.

This post took me all day to read, not because it was so long, but because I kept getting interrupted or kicked off the computer.

I don't know if this counts as a nervous habit, but as a kid, I was afraid to hang a foot or arm off the side of the bed because the "whatever" under the bed might get it. I also slept with my blankets up to my chin so that vampires couldn't bite me. I still like to have a blanket up to my chin like that, but now it's just habit, not fear. :)
