Five Question Friday is brought to you by Mama M... head on over and check out the other entries. Well, not until your done here of course. And hey, leave a comment mkay?
1. What do you think makes a good friend, or friendship?
I think a good friend and friendship can survive time and distance, it's something you just know. There are people you see everyday, and then there are those people that you talk to now and then and see when you can, but you just know that if you needed something, anything, they would be right there for you without the slightest question or protest. It's good to have those people in our lives!
2. What is the last thing you bought & later regretted?
Um, there are so many I'm not sure where to start, and I'm not even sure what the last thing was. I'm a terrible impulse shopper, and so is my hubby, but we're working on it. In related news, we're going to go look for a new travel trailer this weekend. There is a big discrepancy in how much each of us wants to spend, and what type of trailer we're looking for. I want a nicer one, but I'm willing to wait to get the right one. Sean wants one RIGHTNOW. He doesn't really care what it is, he just wants it now.
3. Have you ever had a prank played on you?
Yes, quite a few. We like to have fun here at work, it makes it enjoyable to be here all day... but they are all in good fun. When I was brand new at work I got an email from my boss that said "Please make three copies of the inflow reduction report for this mornings meeting." I was like, what is he talking about? But I didn't want to ask that to my new boss, so I asked a guy that works next to me, he says "Yeah, remember we talked about it last week... taking all that data, blah blah blah" and I was totally freaking out. I was pulling papers and making copies and terrified. They let this go on for about 10 minutes before letting me in on the joke. There was no report due and everyone got a good laugh (me included).
4. What is your favorite theme park?
I haven't been to a theme park is sooooo long, but I'd have to say Great America, I remember having so much fun there as a kid. Hubs has never been to a theme park before. We went to Wild Waves in Seattle last year, which is like this tiny little pathetic water park with a couple rides. He had SOOOO much fun. I'm thinking about taking him to Denver this summer, they have a Six Flags there and one of his best friends moved there recently and said they'd love to have us. I've never been to Colorado so I'm definitely looking into it:-)
5. Have you ever seen someone else give birth?
Yes! I was there when my nephew was born! When my sister had her first baby (my niece), I was there while my sister labored and got her through it. It was amazing, when it was time to push she told me to leave. I was a little bent, but whatever. Then, after she was born she was like "Where the hell did you go?" she says she doesn't remember telling me to leave. So when she was having her second baby she asked me to come. I was in Portland and was like "Really? You want me there?" So I drove back, grabbed my camera and headed to the hospital. She progressed so fast that she didn't have time to get an epidural. I think her hubby had a hard time seeing her in so much pain, he tried to be there for her, but couldn't really get her through it. (It's possibly that having given birth 4 months prior could have helped me with that part). Anyway, I got to be there and it was so awesome! I love that little man:-) As soon as it was over she turned to me and said "OK, I get to be there for your next one now."
