A Little Bean Update

First off, I need to say thank you for the wonderful support we got after our ultrasound… I really appreciate all the comments and emails, I tried to write back if there was an address available to do soJ
I got a little update on the baby bean yesterday. The blood tests came back at a 1 in 10,000 chance of Downs Syndrome or Trisomy 18 (Edward's Syndrome); this makes me feel a lot better as the SUA can be a marker for these conditions. In any case, we will take whatever hand we are dealt and deal with it together. It's great to have such a big, supportive family and wonderful friends!
This week I had Monday and Tuesday off work, I could so get used to a three day work week. The only bad thing about this week is that Sean left town to go elk hunting. I'm hoping that he is done quickly and can come back home to me soon. When Sean is out of town I gain even more respect for single parents. I don't know how they do it. At least I know that my time is a short, finite period and that there will be serious payback when he arrives homeJ. (Related: My mom rocks!)
The good thing about being without my husband for a while? I get to make whatever I want for dinner. I usually make the stuff he doesn't like for a few days, and then I order out the stuff that he would eat but complain about. Last night I made my mom's Hamburger Pie. It's pretty simple: Hamburger, tomato soup, green beans, topped with mashed potatoes and melted cheese (yum, yum, yum). I brought leftovers for lunch, its 8:30 and I'm trying not to eat it right now.
Over the weekend I took Natalee to get some new shoes. Her feet are really wide and nothing at Nordstrom fit her. Well, nothing except for the $90 pair of Uggs. I coughed, and then choked a little. $90 for toddler shoes? Thankfully, Grandma bought them for her because she seriously doesn't fit into any shoes, and they are so dang cute. I special ordered some New Balance tennis shoes in extra wide, I really hope they fit. Anyone else have ideas? The stride rites were not wide enough. Oh, and she got a pair of Hello Kitty rain boots that she wants to wear every day.

I'm really glad to hear about baby bean. being the single mom sucks butt. G has extra wide feet too but the stride rite shoes fit him so I'm not sure.

Working 3 days a week is the greatest thing ever if you ask me!!!

I'm glad that the news about baby bean is good... hopefully this will ease your mind...? yes?

Can't help you with the shoes, sorry. I forsee Natalee having a more expensive shoe collection than you!
