Random Tuesday Thoughts

Ah yes... random time, join in it is tons of fun!
This morning I got up and ready for work, and then it hit me: I needed pancakes STAT. Except that I had to go to work and only had about 15 minutes to get there... then I saw Pop's Branding Iron (it's exactly like you'd picture with a name like that). I stopped and asked if they did orders to go, yes they do. So I got a short stack to go. It's like heaven in a Styrofoam container, and only $3.25. My day is saved (so is their number in my cell phone).
Oh, my cell phone... it's on the fritz. When I'm texting it will occasionally choose a word for me and send the text right in the middle. The other day I tried to write to Sean: "Dad, kids and Grandma are coming" and it choose to send: "Dad, kids and Grandma are annihilated." Of course, I laughed for a second until he called me saying "What? What happened?" Yesterday I tried to tell my sister "When Sean gets home" and it sent "When Sean gets recycled."
Last month someone hit my car and drove away. I happened to be standing across that street and saw the whole thing happen. I got her license plate number and called the police. My bumper and tail light were broke, the entire side of her truck was dented in... it was huge. The 12 year old police officer called me later that afternoon to tell me that he wasn't going to give her a ticket because she was "a really nice lady, and she is a supervisor at the boys and girls club" this got both me and my husband a little angry. Not so much because she didn't get a ticket, but because of the reason. So Sean went and talked to the officers supervisor, he said after looking at the pictures there was NO WAY she wasn't getting a ticket. I figured they were just telling us that and we all went on about our lives. I got a call on Friday that she had a pre-trial conference and I was invited. I didn't go, but I was shocked that 1) she actually got a ticket and 2) that she was fighting it.
One last note: it's officially fall... where are my cool days that allow me to wear my adorable sweaters? It's still hot out, this is totally unacceptable.

I love your cell phone! I was laughing so hard that my daughter told me that I was turning purple. You should keep it just for entertainment purposes. :D

The ticket thing is crazy. I'm glad you were able to change their mind about the ticket, but really it's still crazy.

Hahaha, I laughed so hard at the text message mess up. I turned my laptop so Hubs could read it because I thought it was so funny.

I can't believe that lady just drove away after hitting your car. And I can't belive what the police officers excuse was for why he wasn't giving her a ticket.
