Tuesday Randoms

Um, I had an entire post all done and scheduled to post, and then it just went away. So sad, now I have to come up with new random all over again.
Oh well, here we go again.
I bought some pretzel M&Ms last week, they've been sitting on the counter since then. I took them to work today and we all shared them. They are ok at best. I was expecting more since I love chocolate covered pretzels, but these just didn't do it for me. You really shouldn't mess with a good thing.
Last night I decided to clean out the fridge. I had already taken the garbage to the curb for pick up, so I decided that I'd put all the food I was tossing down the garbage disposal. Apparently, that's a bad idea. I managed to completely clog the sink. My dad came over to fix it today, and the pipes were totally stuffed with spaghetti. Lesson learned.
Saturday Natalee woke up with a rash on her face, it kept getting worse so I took her to the doctor. She has Gianotti-Crosti Syndrome. Apparently it's not at all contagious or painful, but it looks AWFUL, and he said it will get worse and it will last "from weeks to months." It makes me hurt to look at her, thankfully she isn't at an age where she knows anything about appearances.
Some of my family told me that they want to have a shower for me. I am so fully opposed to showers for second babies (besides, there is almost NOTHING that I need), but I agreed to a shower with either no gifts or one where people bring frozen dinners for us. I'm all about having a freezer full of home cooked food that I didn't have to prepare. Heck yes.
Speaking of babies, did you hear about Lisa and Adam and their new baby boy Jayden? They have finally adoped a little boy after more than 2 years of waiting. Go leave her some love. Awesome, thanks.
I'm super dehydrated. Drinking water makes me gag. I'm not sure what to do. I choked down quite a bit of water today (I think I got my full 8 glasses in), but I'm still dehydrated. I can tell it by the way my lips feel and obviously when I go to the bathroom. I'm a little stressed as I've heard being dehydrated is extra bad for babies with SUA. Hmm... guess I'll just keep trying unless you all have some ideas?

poor natalee. at least it's not painful but still.

water - can you do crystal light or flavored water or something?

I second the crystal light idea-the to go packets are great for flavoring a serving and they have new ones that don't have artificial sweeteners and low amounts of sugar in them. It's how I drink water, cause water is boring and I have a hard time drinking it too.

aww I'm disapointed the pretzel m&ms aren't amazing, I thought I'd love them. (still prolly gonna try them tho)
I ate tons of watermenlon when I was pregnant...that and water with tons of ice. I also ate ice constantly...

found you via RTT

Ugh. Cleaning out the fridge is the worst chore. Sorry the pipes got clogged with spaghetti!

I agree with you on the pretzel M&Ms. I think it's because the pretzels weren't salted.

Try putting a little mint in your water. It makes it a little bit more refreshing and the mint is supposed to be good for nausea. I hate the taste of water so I usually use lemon juice to flavor it.

I hope everyone starts to feel better!

Pretzel MM's... too much pretzel, not enough chocolate!

I'm with you on the bring a meal to freeze baby shower. I think it's an awesome idea. You should definitely go with that.

Sorry about Natalee's rash. My daughter had a rash like that when she was little, but the doctors treated her like a medical mystery and wound up telling me to wash her hair with dandruff shampoo. What? huh? The rash was on her face not her head! Anyhow...now that I've looked at the pictures of the Gianotti-Crosti syndrome, I think that may be what she had. Medical mystery solved 15 years later! (thanks) She looked awful for a while, but she was never in any pain and it cleared up within a couple of weeks.

I was also seriously disappointed with the pretzel M&Ms. Beyond the tasteless proctologist joke commercials (ugh. I expect more from M&Ms - they brought us the "Gasp! They DO exist!" Christmas commercials for goodness' sake!), I stinking LOVE chocolate covered pretzels. But pretzel M&Ms are just meh. I'd rather have the peanut butter ones ANY day.

Sorry to hear about the rash!
And I agree with the crystal light - but also....Ocean Spray has flavored water stuff too! YUMMO! Like blueberry lemonade - it is the BOMB!!!!

Garbage disposals are pretty much useless, from my experience. They get clogged about fifty percent of the time, and they make more work for the water treatment plant. Try a compost bin. Or trash can.

Congrats on the second pregnancy. I'm so happy for you. Thanks for your comment on my blog earlier. I am on medication right now--Plaquenil or Hydroxychloroquine. It was working great, but now I'm starting to feel pain again. Hopefully we can get pregnant in the next few months before it gets really cold. If not, I'll be a mother to one awesome little girl.

sorry about the sink...but that was funny! :) Good idea for the frozen meal shower!! Do you like sparkling water? i hate regular water but adding a little carbonatation makes it easier for me to drink.

I'm so glad Natalee is not hurting and I hope she clears up quickly. Drinking water can be challenging for you but remember you it's about him/her now...can't wait to see you and your growing tummy :-)

Oh how miserable for Natalee. I can't imagine having a rash for weeks or months.

I agree with the Crystal Light. They also have hawaiian punch to put in your water bottle. They have a lot of different flavors and my husband actually likes it!

The stock the freezer shower sounds like a great idea!

Watermelon? Popsicles?
And stop eating salty pretzles!

Poor Natalee... but glad she's not hurting!
