Bean(stalk)

Yesterday was our anatomy scan... we had to have it done at the high risk clinic (or MFM, Maternal-Fetal Medicine) because of the SUA, it took over TWO HOURS to complete... but things look alright. The baby is right on schedule as far as size goes. They didn't mention any issues other than the placenta is now covering my cervix but it is early and there is lots of time for it to move still. We were strong and didn't find out the gender, but that meant that we didn't get the digital images because the MFM clinic is required to indicate on the digital images the baby's sex as some syndromes are only associated with certain genders. We got a couple of print outs, but nothing too exciting to look at... Oh, and we looked at some of the 3-D images, it was odd looking, but they said that's just cause baby is still pretty skinny and hasn't put on much muscle mass yet.
Our next ultrasound is in 2 weeks. I'm going to have to convice myself to be good again in two weeks, the next 20 weeks are going to be long, but worth it:-)

Did you just call your child "odd looking"? There will be therapy bills for that in 20 years. heehee...

And "Bean(stalk)" is the most brilliant blog post title I have ever read. You are a genious!

Way to go...be patient! And yes, as Lindsay noted...you are a genious. I think little Natalee is following in Mommies footsteps too. She'll be e-mailing me soon!

I imagine that it's going to be hard not to find out with all the opportunities you'll be given. Of my four kids, I only waited to find out about one. He was the third and I already had a boy and a girl. The odd thing is... I don't remember the "it's a boy" moment at all. I remember so many things about that birth, but as much as I try, I just can't remember that part, which is weird. Try to remember your moment. :)
