So yesterday I had another ultrasound and a doctors appointment after. The ultrasound lasted over an hour, sheesh. So far baby is growing on schedule, but I do have a placenta previa. My doctor approached this very gently when she mentioned a c-section, . I think I took it better than she anticipated cause I just said "alright, sounds good, whatever needs to be done" and she was kinda taken aback. Then I asked her if she could find anything that would require bedrest for only 3 days, so that I could lay in bed and rest and no one could say anything about it. She thought that was hilarious, but I was only half kidding. The arrival of the placenta previa is sending me back to the high risk clinic... I feel like I am always at the doctor anymore.
Natalee is rocking her potty training. She did her training on Monday, went to bed Monday night and got up at about midnight to go potty. She woke up dry after that. She had one accident Tuesday morning and none since. She is dry in the mornings as well as after her naps. The best part of it (besides not washing diapers anymore) is how happy and confident it has made her. Last night Sean said to her "Daddy is so proud of you!" and she looked at him and said "I proud of you too!"
OK, enough of that... on to the fun stuff!
1. Who is the better cook, you or your spouse?
A few years ago I would have said me, hands down... but Sean has really stepped up his game. I don't cook too much anymore, except when he is wanting one of those things that I really do make better (lasagna, chicken enchiladas, meatloaf...yum!). But I really depend on him to deliver when it comes to roasts or steaks or any other "meat" centered dish, or and his chicken & dumplings. Yum!
2. How often do you talk to your mom?
Almsot everyday, as long as she isn't out of the country on one of their exotic vacations that they seem to take all the time. I told her it was probably a good idea for her and all her daughters to take a girls only vacation somewhere, I think she actually thought it was a good idea.
3. Are you adventurous in the kitchen or stick to the recipe?
Well, when it comes to baking I stick with the recipe. When it comes to cooking I usually try once by the recipe and then I think about what might make it better and I go from there. Sometimes it is better to leave things alone, but usually it gets tastier as the experiments progress.
4. Is your second toe longer than your big toe?
It is... isn't that one of those questions that are on the "Genetic Testing" list that you do in the 8th grade? Along with can you roll your tounge (yes) and do you have a widows peak (yes again)?
5. Do you dress up for Halloween? (Bonus question: What will you be this year?)
No, I'm so boring. I was totally going to dress up this year though. Natalee is a cupcake this year, so I was going to be an oven and Sean was going to be a baker. But then the oven costume was like $50 and I got all cheap about it.
