Natalee asked to sleep in her big girl bed last night, I wanted to wait until a weekend night, but told her OK. She climbed right in, said good night, gave me a kiss and went to sleep. I'm stoked with our first night.
Alright... onto Five Question Friday, brought to you by Mama M.
1. What is your favorite Halloween candy?
I'd probably have to say Reese's peanut butter cups or Butterfinger... the odd thing about my candy choices, is that I'm actually not a huge fan of peanut butter. I mean, it's alright when it is in stuff... but a peanut butter sandwich makes me want to gag. Yuck. And I've never been a Peanut-Butter-on-the-Spoon fan either.
2. Do you fold your socks?
Yes, do people not fold their socks? How would you ever find the mates? And wouldn't your sock drawer just be a big jumbled mess? I also fold all my underwear, much to Sean's dismay. He thinks that is the most odd thing, is it odd?
3. What is something that you wish you had been warned about?
Hmmm... there are a lot of things I was warned about but choose not to listen. I guess maybe I wish someone had warned me about how lonely thing can get when you grow up and especially when you have a baby. It probably wouldn't have made things easier, or changed my mind at all... but it would have been nice to know that I wasn't the only one that felt that way. But once I started talking about it people were all like "Yeah, it is so lonely, and I totally get what you are saying!"
4. What is the most significant difference between you and your significant other?
Procrastination/contemplation... when I decide I want to do something, I do it rightnow. When he decides he wants to do something, he considers it for about a year (no, I'm not exaggerating). In some situations, the difference is a good one... some things you really do want to consider (for example, buying a house), some things do not require such contemplation (for example, buying a new sweatshirt). I can't tell you how many times I've heard from him "Man, I wish I had bought those ____________ when they were on sale."
5. What are three words you would use to describe yourself? (And, just for fun...if your significant other is around, ask him/her what 3 words they would use to describe you!!)
This question is a lot harder than I thought when I first read it... I'd say that I'm giving, book smart (without the common sense to go along), and resourceful. Unfortunately Sean is at work so I can't ask him, but if I had to guess he would probably say "Smart (with the same caveat I noted above), impulsive and impatient... all those would be true of course but mine are more flattering. Ha!
