Today

Today is one of those days... not bad, just one of those. We have our annual Halloween potluck at work today, I made a 3 bean casserole that reminds me of being a kid, my mom always used to make it for our sports potlucks (and I totally love this dish, yum!).
Natalee was awake when I got out of the shower, so I went into her room to visit with her before getting up since it was nice and early. She climbed up in my lap and felt like a little inferno. She went potty and I took her temperature. After I took it she said "Perfect!" (obviously, I take her temperature a lot and it is usually perfect), it was 103. I told Sean and then took her to snuggle. I decided I should stay home with her and took her back to our bed. She fell asleep and Sean told me it was silly to take off work when he was already home. But, I really just wanted to stay there. I wanted to leave the TV off and listen to the rain and snuggle with my daughter and smell my casserole and just relax and be a mom. But alas, I went to work... but at least I can still smell my casserole in the crock pot here.
I may have to duck out after lunch, while there is still time left to be a mom...

Fill that belly up with your casserole - then go home and snuggle! Don't blame you ONE bit!

How is Natalee feeling? Sometimes those "sick" days when the kid isn't THAT sick are kind of nice. I hope she's doing okay.

And 3-bean casserole? Really? Blech. Sorry, but... blech.

Awww... poor baby. I hope she is feeling better. That three bean casserole sounds like pretty good comfort food.

Nothing is worse than having to leave your baby when she's sick, even if she's in capable, loving hands.
