You're It!

Well, it is Friday! I usually do Five Question Friday, but I'm going to stray a little this week (the questions didn't really apply too much to me)... Holly was tagged in her blog and instead of tagging someone else, she cheated and tagged "everyone that reads this post" and since that's me... I'm going to participate. So here is the deal... I'll answer her questions and then I'll post my own and tag some of you!

1) What do you look forward to or enjoy most about being a parent?

Some days I don't enjoy much... but most days I enjoy watching her discover things. It's amazing the joy she can get out of the things that we totally take for granted as adults. It's also a lot of fun to get to do those things again that were so fun as a kid.
2) What's something about you that would surprise most people?
Hmm... for people that have known me a long long time, they would probably be suprised to learn that I almost NEVER cook anymore. I used do spend almost all of my time in the kitchen, but Sean does all the cooking anymore. I did bust out a from scratch chocolate marble cheesecake the other day though, and it was AMAZING.
3) If you could be any animal what would you be and why?
I would want to be my dog, seriously... she is the most spoiled animal on the planet, and she's so cute... what more could you ask for out of life?
4) What's the nicest thing someone has done for you?
This is probably not a "normal" answer, but whatever. When I was in college I had this professor... his name was Marv Pyles (seriously, no joke). Up until I took that class (Soils Engineering), I had heard how hard it was and how tough the professor was... I was terrified. After the first couple classes I knew I was going to struggle. I went to him and was totally honest that I was trying but just didn't think I could make it. He spent HOURS every week with me, we did extra assignments together so that I could really understand everything. It was awesome. I rocked the class but more importantly it was the confidence boost that I needed to get through college. I'm not sure I'd be holding an engineering degree today if it wasn't for him and the extra effort he put into me.I've heard through the grape vine that he still talks about how determined I was :-)
5) What are you most looking forward to over the next month?
There are a lot of exciting things happening this month... Sean and I are taking out first trip together that involves flying somewhere (can you believe that?), we're headed to Denver for a fun 4 day getaway. Next week I have a level II ultrasound to check on baby and see if they can see any other defects present because of the SUA. (I'm actually terrified of this, I was all cool about it but I'm losing that confidence that everything is OK). And then my beautiful cousin Brooke is getting married, it's going to be a spectacular wedding (made even better because one of my greatest friends is photographing it!). Oh! And it's our wedding anniversary on the 20th. I LOVE OCTOBER!

Alright... here are my questions:
1. We all have a favorite season, but what is your favorite thing about each season?
2. If you could have any breakfast item brought to you in bed tomorrow morning, what would it be?
3. What is one hobby that you wish you could take up?
4. What is your guilty pleasure?
5. What is your favorite holiday and why?

Alright... time to tag people! I'd love to hear from:
Kaitlin at Ah... My Married Life.
Colleen at As Is Proper
Melissa at Random Ramblings (a quick attempt to get her to blog!)
Sheila at A Little Dirt Never Hurt

I had a pretty awesome college professor too. It's amazing when someone like that goes out of their way to help a student.

You posed some good questions and I think I might just have an answer for most of them. Thanks... I could always use some writing prompts. :)

That's awesome about your college professor. I actually had a similar one except he wasn't quite as excited to help me but I made him anyway.
