Five Question Friday!

Friday is here! It's been a pretty great week, but I'm always glad for the weekends to get here.
Yesterday someone set fire to an abandoned house right near my jobsite. The fire department was out there investigating and had to stop by our jobsite. I was talking to the Fire Chief and he invited me to come check out the house. I've never seen anything like that except on CSI, it was pretty fascinating to see how they investigate fire and the things that they can tell from the way that material burns and chars. It was really interesting and something that is certainly not part of my "everyday" experiences. It also gave me even more respect for the work that fire fighters do everyday. I'm pretty sure I wouldn't run into a burning building for a paycheck, but I'm glad that someone will.

Well, should we get on with 5QF already?
1. If you could have any talent and turn it into an occupation, what would it be?

This is hard for me, because I always wonder if a hobby that becomes a career would feel like "work" instead of feeling like "fun" ya know? That being said, I wish that I could be good enough at sewing to sell my stuff... even if it was just at craft fairs and places like that, I wish it was good enough for people to pay for. Until then, I will just keep loving what I do and being happy when I get to do it.

2. Would you rather have a house at the beach or a cabin in the woods?
Cabin in the woods, hands down. I grew up on the coast, it isn't all it's cracked up to be... except that you can not beat the storms that you get on the coast. Besides knowing that my dad was out working in them, I totally loved the good storms we got there. My mom once took us to the beach in the middle of a huge storm so that she we could see the angry waves. At the time I thought she had totally lost her mind, but it's certainly something that I remember fondly.
3. Is there any meaning or reasoning for the names you chose for your child/children?
Natalee was chosen just because we liked it, we chose to spell it with 2-e's because my Father-in-law's middle name is Lee and my step dad is also named Lee, hence Natalee.
There is some meaning behind Baby Bean's names, but we can't tell you about those until baby makes an arrival:-)

4. What is your guilty pleasure?
Well let's see here, I hope I'm not limited to only one, cause I have a few. Trashy TV for one, I love TV and I think I've made that clear here in the past (but I can't get into this whole "Housewives" business... I just don't get it). I also love scratch off lottery tickets, I have so much fun with those imagining all the things I will buy when I win big.
5. Do you live in a house that is deep cleaned or straightened?
Ha! I'm lucky when it's straightened, but we're getting a lot better about keeping it all picked up. I am terrible about deep cleaning anything on a regular basis.

Alright, that's it... click that adorable little button below and check out more 5QF fun!

We lived in Savannah Ga for two years. It was nice but I love living in the woods. Plus there are not sand gnats here lol. Love your answers. Hope you have a great weekend.

If I could have any talent and turn it into an occupation, it would be some sort of critic. Ideally a jack-of-all-trades critic. Food, hotels, vacation spots, movies, shows, all of it. And then I could have a tv show like Samantha Brown and I'd travel all over and tell people about the food and hotels and places and it would be AWESOME.

Deep cleaned or straightened? Those are the only two choices? How about slightly cluttered with random straightened spots and an occasional deep clean.
