Yesterday was a holiday, which I have been looking forward to for like a month... I was just going to sit at home and relax and do NOTHING. But, then I had to work. Lame, but at least I got holiday pay for it:-)
Onward to 5QF, shall we get started?
1. What is the most physically painful thing that has ever happened to you?
Let's see... I think it'd be a close race between childbirth and when I broke my humerus & my shoulder blade. I got an epidural and a baby at the end of childbirth, which dulled the pain so I'm going to go with my broken shoulder. This injury courtesy of mountain bike racing (I don't do that anymore, but not because of the accident).
2. How much sleep do you get at night?
Well, that is a hard one to answer lately. I go to bed around 9:30 usually, and I generally fall asleep pretty quickly but my growing belly is making my back hurt so bad that I'm usually up and trying to ease the discomfort about once every hour to two hours. I'm out of bed at 5:30 but get to sleep in until 7 on the weekends. (My old college-age-self is gasping in horror at the thought of 7am being considered "sleeping in").
3. How long did you believe in Santa Claus? How did you find out that he does not exist?
I think I believed for a long time, until I was probably 8. I kept thinking he didn't exist, but my dad always did a great job of leaving a little doubt... half eaten cookies and my favorite: foot prints in the ashes of the fireplace. There was no traumatic discovery, just kinda growing up and figuring things out for myself.
4. What was the last movie you saw in a theater?
Sean and I went and saw "Life As We Know It" a few weeks ago. It was a good movie, but I was really expecting something funny (based on the previews and the cast), it was pretty sad and hard to watch as a parent. I LOVE going to the movies, I wish I got to go more often.
5. What do you wear to bed?
Usually a pajama top, t-shirt or tank top. I can't stand to wear pajama bottoms to bed but I love to lounge around before bed in them:-) I don't like to be hot while I'm sleeping. We usually keep our house around 65-67 degrees, then we close our bedroom door and open our windows. It's like an icebox in there, but all cozy in bed.
Alright, head on over to Mama M's for more 5QF Fun!
