Random Updates

I sort of look forward to Tuesdays... not just because it means that Monday is over. I like to read what random stuff people come up with and I like to just spew random nonsense. Join in!
Today I am 30 weeks pregnant, what?!? Yesterday I had an OB appointment and then went to my high risk doc... things look great, and in an unexpected turn we are suddenly watching that this baby isn't too big. If you recall, one of the biggest risks with SUA is a growth restricted baby so this news is very very good. Baby is about 3lbs 9oz, which is right about 70th percentile.
Did you hear the news?? I got my sewing machine!! It is so amazing, I love love love it... and I especially love my husband, mom and mother-in-law for getting for me. 'Wow' is really all I can say about it. I was shocked, beyond the point of being able to have any sort of reaction whatsoever. Sean said he was "disappointed" that I wasn't more excited, but about an hour or so later it really sunk in and I started to cry, Sean said "Now that is what I wanted to see!" I made my first project and I am happy to report that no swear words were needed.
We took our tree down last night, along with all of our Christmas decorations... I was called a scrooge. Whatever, my house is clean.
Every morning, Natalee wakes up with a rats nest in her hair. Right now it isn't too much of an issue because her hair is short, but someone told me that certain pillowcase material will help this... any input??
Yesterday the coffee place accidentally gave me regular instead of decaf, it's amazing (and uncomfortable) what the caffeine will do to you when you don't have any tolerance built up.

I'm considering taking down the tree for the sole purpose of having a clean house as well. I just feel kind of bad about it...or something.

Silk pillowcases. Supposedly. But what do I know? I'm 28 and still wake up with a rat's nest in my hair because I haven't gotten silk pillowcases yet.

Yay for your new sewing machine! Too funny your hubby was disappointed with your non-reaction until after it actually sunk in. You can blame the delayed reaction on pregnancy hormones... ;)

I thought about taking down the Christmas tree already, too - but since we put it up so late, I think I'll wait until this weekend. I can't wait to have a clean living room again! :)

My tree will come down around Valentine's Day, just like every other year.

I had rat's nests my whole childhood. My mother told me the 'Tangle Fairy' visited every night. She probably would have been grateful for the 'silk pillowcases' tip.

I'm so glad to hear all is well on the pregnancy front.

and i so want to take down my tree. I'm tired of all the decorations and it being in the way.

I was hoping you'd get your sewing machine!! Yay!

I've heard that same thing about silk pillowcases, but i've never tried it.

Please come take my Christmas tree down.... it's on my mile-long to-do list.
