Sew and Tell...Part 1

I was really anxious to get started with my new sewing machine... but I didn't want to make anything very involved for my first project. I made myself a hosptial gown for the new baby (yes, I had already made one but I like this one better), and then I made my mom one out of flannel for her upcoming knee replacement surgery. This weekend I will (hopefully), make myself a flannel robe for Baby's arrival. I just hope I have the time to get it done. These pictures aren't the best, but they are pictures at least:-)
Oh, and I'm on the lookout for a pattern for a cute diaper bag... please please let me know if you see one!
(Sorry, pictures are in Flickr because blogger won't rotate them)

You should go into business chickie. I was looking on etsy for a shirt that would open up to allow a hand with an IV through it (I don't know how to explain it well). There was only one lady on etsy sewing anything remotely like it.

Those are SO cute and of course just way lovlier than what you could be stuck wearing in the hospital. I see an etsy shop in your future...maybe!

Did you use a pattern for the hospital gowns?
