My mom is home from the hospital after her knee replacement on Monday, seems awfully soon but what do I know?
I went to the OB on Wednesday, baby looks great. She said that she'd be willing to "shake things up" at 38 weeks or so (I think she means strip my membranes, but I'm not totally sure). I don't know for certain if I'd be ready for that, but we'll just wait and see.
I'm about 85% sure this baby is a boy (though I'd be thrilled either way), I just can't wait to find out! I'm feeling completely overwhelmed by the whole thing. I think maybe if I pack a hospital bag I might feel a little better... but I am going to stop by Babies-r-us this weekend just to browse, that might help too (or make it way worse).
OK OK, let's get on with 5 Question Friday:
1. If you had $1,000 to donate to a charity, which would you choose?
Oh man, this is a hard one... probably the local humane society. I know they do pretty great things and really could use all the help they can get.
2. Snow days: Do you welcome them happily or are they a pain in your butt?
Snow days?? I wish we had snow days. It's the end of January and 50-freaking-degrees outside. Our winters are so lame here. Someday I will live where there is enough snow that it doesn't warrant snow days.
3. What talent did you wish you had and why?
I wish I loved a sport, and was good enough at it, to get myself through college. How awesome would it be to have played sports through college and not have any student loans? Except that I probably wouldn't have made it through an engineering program then and, my oh my, how different my life would be right now (not better, just different).
4. Are you a news, politics or celebrity gossip junkie?
That is easy... celebrity gossip. The People.com app is my very favorite on my phone. I hate when other people are like "Oh, did you hear about so-and-so getting married?" and I didn't already know.
5. What is your favorite "cocktail"? (Are you a beer person, a kiddie cocktail junkie, or perhaps your more the "Cosmo" kind?! Anything flies...doesn't hafta be alcoholic!)
Well, I don't drink... when I did I used to love Midori Sours, but now I'm a Pepsi strait-up type of girl... or a strawberry lemonade when I'm feeling a little wild.
