Less of This

Well, I missed out on Brandy’s Fat Ass Friday… stupid work, taking up all my time. And in relation to that thought… how come two kids is like 10 times as hard as one? Anyone that has more than 2 kids just a few years apart, you are my hero. Thankfully, my husband is amazing and recognizes that I need me time still to keep my sanity so he took the girls to his parents house for the weekend while he went fishing with his dad. Friday night I went to the fabric store alone, came home, put on my pajamas and ate dinner then did nothing else. Bliss. I did some sewing on Saturday… new crib sheets, some pillow cases, a hospital gown for a co-worker having a baby and a new insulated lunch bag for myself (but the pattern wasn’t very clear and I got the print upside down… oops, it’s still cute though). (That "edit image" thing won't rotate my images and it's making me angry).

Please ignore my sewing room disaster in the background

OK, back to the Fat Ass stuff… Sean and I went to weigh in on Tuesday and he asked me how I thought I did. I didn’t feel like I had necessarily lost but did feel like we were just making such better choices about our food so it didn’t really matter. We weighed in and he lost FIVE POUNDS in one week! I lost 3.2 pounds, which brings me to a total of 7.2 pounds. I’m super excited that what we are doing is working. I like to think that regardless of what the scale tells us in the future we will stick with it. I’m hoping that some energy comes along with the better eating because I am tired to my core… even with the weekend off from the kids.

The good news about this weight loss stuff is that my jeans are getting too big; the bad news is that they are True Religion Jeans and that makes me want to cry. I will still wear them though, just need a good belt.

Here is a cute picture of Natalee feeding Baby Olive the other day. I already shared it on Facebook, if you aren’t already my friend… what are you waiting for?
