Friday Fun

Here is a little piece of advice I have to share from personal experience: When you have the laundry “all done” on Friday afternoon, and feel like you get the “weekend off” that doesn’t actually mean that you never have to do laundry again. Seriously, I think it reproduces in my closet except that nothing trendy or super cute ever comes out of the washer. What’s up with that?

Sean is going fishing this weekend. I’ll be stuck at home alone with the kids. Again. I wish I was more maternal and into the whole “mommy” thing, but I’m not, it just isn’t in my blood. I love my girls but one more damn puzzle and I’m going to rip my eyeballs out. Next weekend is my turn. I’m going “camping” with the high school equestrian team. My sister is the team advisor so I volunteered to come and “help” but what that really means is taking my trailer and sitting in it quietly, all alone, for an entire weekend. Yes please! I’ll take book suggestions.

Speaking of books… have you read the ’50 Shades’ trilogy? Oh my, it’s so good. It isn’t like a work of literary genius or anything, but it is pretty good entertainment and very appropriately dubbed “mommy porn” which works for me.
Good advice when dealing with me.

I have a new favorite song: Half Moon by Blind Pilot. You may recognize it from the series finale of One Tree Hill. Oh, I will miss you Brooke Davis.

I saw Dr. Yummy again the other day… seeing him was the fun part, but the actual “doctor” part wasn’t as great. It seems I have a somewhat frozen shoulder… the good news is that the major structures are not out of place, I just need to get through this one way or another.  The bad news is that it hurts like hell, but at least I get to visit with those blue eyes another few times. Once I’m over the “hump” I’ll make someone there take our picture together and let him in on his nickname. I can’t decide if I think he’ll be amused, flattered or just laugh at me… I’m used to being laughed at, it’s cool.

I took 366 pictures of my girls, my niece and one of my nephews in the adorable outfits I made for them. Maybe I’ll stop being so damn lazy and download them over the weekend. Out of the 366 photos I took, I think there are about 4 good ones. There are just not enough M&Ms in the world to get them all looking at me and smiling at the same time.

I found this Gem in the closet at work. I hung it outside my office, I added the “away” part on my own.

This made me laugh to myself, I thought about sending it to Sean but he might not find it as funny as I did.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I freaking love you so much.

But I will not be reading 50 Shades of Grey, no matter how unintentionally hilarious it is. The author ripped off Twilight (of all the books in the world...) to write fanfic and then changed a few names and made Jacob Mexican instead of Native American and POOF people are paying for this shit and this person is making money. Stephanie Meyer should sue the crap out of it all.

Plus, much much better fanfic is available online for free.

I need a go away sign.
